Hi all. I have seen a similar thread from a few years ago but no resolution. I get air in the pump when vacuuming. All usuals checked - pool depth ok no vortex drain fine. Any help appreciated.
Welcome to TFP! What type of vacuum are you using? For manual vacuums, air in the pump pot is quite common. As long as you don't lose prime to the pump it should be okay. But you can show us some pics of your vacuum set-up and maybe we'll see something more to help. Don't forget to update your signature as well.
If your problem is air in the vac hose there's a simple solution. Drop the vac head with hose and pole into the water then grab the other end of the hose and hold it in front of a return forcing the water through the hose until the air bubbles stop coming up. At that point the hose is ready to be connected to whatever your vacuum method is.
