I can’t really tell the difference based on specs, ie not knowing what is important, worth paying for. Pool stores says all are appropriate for our AGPs and they’ve been trustworthy, but still I’m nervous about the stories about micropunctures in the liner.
The options are:
S50
S100
S200
S300
S400
They recommended either the S100 $899 or S300 $1399. I’m sure you can buy them a little cheaper online.
Anyway - the difference seems to be that the S300 is ”up to a 50 ft pool size”, cleaning cycle in 1/2 hour instead of 2 hour, has an ultra fine basket, has a brush + active scrubber, and will clean waterline in addition to floors and walls (our walls basically never need cleaning if the chlorine is kept correct). It uses a “powerstream” instead of “CleverCLean” drive system, is compatible with the wifi app and is remote controllable, includes the caddy, and has a ‘tangle free cable”.
It sounds like from a practical standpoint - the stuff that matters - I’m paying $500 for app access. What I really want is something that will work like a Toyota, be super reliable and trouble free and no hassle, and won’t ruin my pool.
Are these the right way to go? Other options? Any thoughts?
