AGP Build: Wall is up, sand is in, cove installed... now a question about the liner

Lots of ups and downs to get it this far (enough said). Finished leveling the sand inside the walls and inserted the foam cove.

Any tips for the (overlap) liner? It is a 12x20 Saltwater LX (see pic).

Questions:
1. does the wall (w/o top rails) really support the weight of the liner? Can I duct tape the uprights to the pool wall - near the bottom?
2. how to deal with a ladder to get out? I was thinking of towels under 2x4s with the step ladder on top
3. when do you start installing the top stabilizers? how many inches of water?

Thank you!
Jason

1. does the wall (w/o top rails) really support the weight of the liner? the wall is the primary support structure. the pool can be full of water with no toprails installed (not recommended)

Can I duct tape the uprights to the pool wall - near the bottom? no reason to the water pressure will push the wall flush to the uprights

2. how to deal with a ladder to get out? take the ladder out now and install the liner from outside the pool

3. when do you start installing the top stabilizers? how many inches of water?
depending on how you install you can try this process.

install liner from outside the pool
clip liner to top of wall
fill bottom 4 inches of water,
smooth out wrinkles on bottom
reset the liner on the wall to remove wrinkles.
run vacuum to suck liner to wall,
(do top of pool except for vacuum location and skimmer location)
fill with water to 6 inches under skimmer.
remove vacuum
cut in skimmer and return
fill pool
finish top
