Aftermarket AGP Wall Coating for Semi In-ground Install

Good Morning,

I was wondering if anyone was coating their above ground pool walls with anything prior to partially burying them. I received my HII resin-frame pool with steel walls and was looking for input on doing this. My soil is a clay-mix so the hole should retain it's shape without concrete slurry. My question is if I should coat the steel walls with tar or truck-bed spray before backfilling. I read something about people putting tar paper against the wall prior to backfilling but I think that would just trap moisture between the pool wall and tar paper. I'm not really concerned about warranty retention.

Are the walls galvanized steel that has a zinc coating?

If not then I would paint it with rust neutralizer. I
