After the Rain

Good morning,
My pool is filling up due to all the rain we’ve had this weekend. Last week, someone in a pool group on FB drained some water from their pool, and their liner started to tear away, so I’m a little nervous. They said it was because of the water table which I know nothing about. Should I drain some out?
Also, the chemical levels were balanced before the rain. Is there anything specific I should put in the water after a heavy rain to keep the levels right?

Do you have an over flow drain? Just be sure the water does not go above the top of the skimmer. And only lower it to the middle of the skimmer.
