After party pool care

but was curious what everyone does after a pool party?
Sometimes a little more liquid chlorine, but that 100% dependent on the actual test results. Stay away from the chlorine free/oxidizer stuff. Can you share some water tests with us?

How are you testing your pool water?
Test Kits Compared

It's best to dose FC a bit higher than normal before the party - sometimes during the party and again after the party.
Use liquid chlorine - no non-chlorine or other granular "shock" product.

A day prior to our party, my results were from Leslie's and I tested them myself using my Pool Style 5 way OTO test kit (Yes, I am upgrading to a TF tester): FC 6.8, TC 6.9, PH 7.7, TA 70, CYA 65, salt 3400.

Sounds like I should never use any kind of shock then and stick with liquid chlorine for my salt water pool? Thanks!

Generally speaking, liquid chlorine is best whenever you need to increase the FC level quickly with no side effects. The salt cell might've just struggled a bit, and your CYA may already be high enough to where you don't want to add any more of those pre-stabilized bags or powders.

CYA of 65 rounds up to 70.
Use the FC/CYA Levels chart to keep FC on the high side of target for your CYA.

Before a big swim event, add maybe 5ppm liquid chlorine.
During the event do a quick FC check and dose again if needed.
After the event, test FC and pH - adjust as needed.

It is safe to swim with FC between minimum and SLAM Process levels.

When you receive your test kit, post a full set of results from the kit here.
The TF-Pro Salt would be great for your SWG pool - and it includes the electronic stirring device.
