advise regarding this used equipment

Hello trouble free poolers! I have recently purchased a house with an in-ground pool. It has an older sand filter and pump. All working but who knows for how long. I recently came across this advertisement for some used equipment and wondered if I can get your advise if it is priced right. From what I understand this equipment is about 8 years old and the person selling it says it all in working order. Also keep in mind this is Canadian $.

Can you change your signature to show this new pool?

Hard to say based on not knowing the specs of your new pool.

It is old equipment, heater is close to its life span, motor on the pump as well.
A 1 HP single speed pump uses lots of electricity ------

I wouldn't purchase 8 year old equipment. You have no idea as to the problems you will inherit. Especially with regards to the pool heater.

Save your money and purchase new equipment that gives you a warranty.

eight yr old pool equipment is like a 15 yr old car, but there's nothing classic about pool equipment. However, if have not been to Vegas lately, then buying 8 yr old used equip puts you right at the roulette table. Remember, you get what you pay for.

BTW, is your pool 3800 or 38000 gallons ?\

Filter and pump max 1/4 value of new(whatever new price is there) and the heater for $0 only if you can install it yourself, otherwise your gonna spend more on install then it's worth.
