Advice for pool that remains closed with autocover

A pool service closed my pool in the fall 2022. I did not open it last summer and it will remain closed until May next year. I have an autocover that remains closed. The pool is in the Washington DC metro area. The water is below the skimmers and the filter plump has not been running.
After a year and a half of being closed, the water looks similar to what Ii typically saw when opening every summer. It does not have algae because of the cover. However, there are many more stains than usual at the title at the skimmer height and some at the plaster below.
I would appreciate general advice about what should be done for this extended closing such as chemicals that could prevent staining or other issues.

Thanks

If the pool is closed and going to remain closed and winterized, leave it. Deal with what you have when you open it and can use the pump, etc.
