Advice for old Purex light replacement

Hi, bought an as-is house with an as-is pool and need to replace the quite old Purex light.
Obviously, I need a new gasket. I've done some homework but would welcome any advice as to how to best proceed. Get a new gasket and clean the lens? Replace lens? Finding a compatible lamp? I don't have the old lamp to compare to. The diameter of the inner rim where the bulb rests is just under 7 3/4 inches.
There is a 5-year-old thread with a product that looks like it might fit my niche but the place where the bottom hooks on may not be compatible. Link below.

It looks like the light was abandoned. The first thing to do is remove that sealant or whatever that is around the conduit where the cable runs into. You will have to find where the light runs to, it could be a junction box or gang box. Once you find it, have one person pull while the other feeds. Just test if that wire has a little play. If it does you may be able to pull a new fixture.

Thank you for the reply. The junction box for the light is relatively close to the. A 30 ft cord should be more than sufficient.

I would just make sure the cable can move pretty freely in the conduit before ordering anything. You don’t want to pull it out if you plan on tying onto it.

Thank you for your response Poolbreh. That sealant just peeled right off but the wire has barely any play in it from the light end. I was hoping to dig up the conduit as it's not that long a distance as you can see from the pics. However, the conduit seems to run into the concrete perimeter of the pool which is too bad since I cant dig it up. I realize I just may not be able to pull the wire through the conduit and have to accept that my pool will not be lit from below the surface. Some thoughts I had. Pour some lubricant into conuit (olive oil?). Cut part of the vertical conduit to get a better grip on the wire to pull it through. Thanks in advance for anyone's input.

So...my dyslexia got the best of me (again) and I pulled on the wrong cable. So I was indeed able to pull the middle cable and get it to move with effort. I probably got the light end of the wire to move 8-10 inches. Still thinking about pouring some lubricant into the conduit. Is that a bad idea? So if I can indeed snake a wire through, I'm back to finding a compatible light and new gasket for the niche I have.

Nice! Lube is good idea. Make sure it’s for wires. Klein Tools Premium Synthetic Clear Lubricant 1-Quart 51028
I don’t know if it’s tfp recommended though. If not I hope someone chimes in. Make sure the light is gfci protected
