Adjusting CYA level whilst in SLAM

Day 6 of SLAM and although the pool is clearing I believe I am losing too much chlorine.

Initially tested my CYA at 30
Shock level 12
After day 6 I have lost 8.5FC in 9 hours (cloudy and overcast today as well)

Retested and would say CYA is between 20-30.

I have the following
Stabiliser
3” Chlorine Pucks

Have used the stabiliser in a sock in the past with success.

Could i use the Pucks this time around? If so, how many would I require to instead CYA by 10

I do not know what weight your pucks are ----

Would it be dichlor or trichlor?

Does not appear to say anything on the tub.

How would I know the weight of either? As the puck would also hold dry chlorine?

Pretty sure that's trichlor and each puck is 8oz. My napkin math says each puck will raise CYA by ~3 in your pool.

Check behind me though!

Check the weight of the pucks. If 8 oz equivalent that would be 227g.

Ok, so approx 3 or 4 pucks to raise my cya level by 10.

I have some powder stabiliser somewhere ... will use that if I can find it, otherwise il drop pucks in.

In a floater or the skimmer?

Floater. If it's in the skimmer without the pump running acidic water can build. Your pump is probably constantly running due to SLAM, but just in case of power outage / etc.....

I intended to put a video camera on timelapse mode... but forgot.

Will do it next time I be lazy and let the pool turn green ??‍
