Muriatic acid is not instantly dangerous if it gets on your skin. If you splash a small amount on your skin, just wash it off with pool water within a few minutes, No big deal. Getting it splashed in the eyes wouldn’t be good but if you lower the bottle into the pool and pour like the pictures show then there’s no splashing at all.

I don’t see the need for gloves. It’s not sulphuric acid. Just dip your hand in the pool water if you get a drop on a hand. The liquid bleach is much more annoying since even a drop will stain clothing.
 
Same technique for liquid chlorine and CYA. Lower bottle into water, tilt to pour, cap, dunk and done.
No ruined polka dot clothes or handling of chemicals more than once. Eye protection and/or gloves
always a good idea.
