Quick question: Can you add more than 1 lb of CYA at a time?
I have near zero CYA currently, multiple tests began to fog out the dot but never made it disappear, but to play it safe I’m calling it 20 in Pool Math. It’s recommending right around 11 lbs. I’ve read about the sock or shirt approach, and have seen approaches taken by folks doing more than 1 lb. when working with dry CYA.
I just received two 4 pound bags. I saw with the t-shirt approach where you can fit more, and anchor it in front of a return. I’m considering doing two 4lb shirts in front of two separate returns. Does that sound like a legitimate approach? The last thing I want is to do is be so impatient that I do it poorly. Thoughts?
