I have a 1000 gph Intex type canister filter, to be replaced next year with a 2500 gph model. Is there a way to add a pressure gauge to such a critter, or is it overkill?I

Here's what I have

And here's what I'll have next year

Honestly, they are undersized for most applications, so require freqeuent cleaning, that doesn't require a gauge to monitor :)

If those are standard pipe threads on the hose barbs at the filter, then a "street tee" could be threaded into the inlet side and a gauge screwed into the other leg of the tee. If they're not standard size, then buying/making adaptors would probably cost more than the difference in price between that and next years'model.
