Hi all, i read the article on adding DE to a salt water pool (cup or two) into skimmer to give the filter a boost.

Odd question, but what size DE powder. Suppliers i have looked at seem to offer 3 or 4 types. Extra fine to coarse etc.

Let's be sure to clarify some things. As a sand filter owner, yes, you can add a small amount of DE to your sand to help capture small particles. The big thing is never want to use food grade DE or DE made for insecticide use. Only use DE made for pools. Being a salt (or non-salt) pool makes no difference.

Thanks all, was really looking at options amongst usual approach for iron removal, general filtering. Thats in addition not a replacement to.AA and sequestriant. So edging bets where i can, having almost a 4th round of removing. I highly suspect the salt...Aqua Health. I have practically removed and replaced my water. Which has had no issues until now, or when salt was added.
