Adding Cyanuric Acid - Dry Acid or Liquid Conditioner?

Right now my numbers look good. I don’t have to add CYA now but in a little while I will. I ‘ve been testing with the K-2006C daily.

I went to the local pool supply store (Leslie’s) to pick up some Muriatic Acid. They asked me if I needed any Cyanuric Acid and I said not right now. Of course, I thought I would ask here about what you folks thought first.

The salesperson tried to sell me a liquid conditioner instead of the dry acid. What are your thoughts about adding either one of those two choices? Seems must folks here go with dry acid in a sock. Liquid sounds easier but is it a good alternative?

Thanks.

Liquid Conditioner is about 4X as expensive as dry stabilizer.

1 Gallon of liquid costs $29.95 and raises 10,000 gallons 35PPM

3 lbs of stabilizer costs around $7 for the same.

They both do the same. It's your money.

Where can I get 3 lbs stabilizer for $7? I start shopping since last week, most places around $20 for 4 lbs. the lowest I saw around $15 from hth but I pick up their new pod stabilizer for $17. Leslie’s conditioner $29.99 for 4lbs lucky I had $5 off coupon.

Careful with the Puritech stuff, another member found out they sold him Baking Soda as CYA. Not good.

I pay about $2.50/lb for stabilizer. I buy this 8 lbs bag for $19.99 at my local pool store. All stabilizer/CYA is the same. Steer away from brand names that just inflate the price with no added value.
