Adding chemicals in swg pool

Just curious if the swg needs to be powered off when adding chemicals such as muriatic acid/chlorine/baking soda? Was reading my circupool manual but nothing stated.

Add liquids slowly at a return with pump running. Baking soda can be sprinkled in the deep end. SWCG may be operating.

If adding salt, disable the SWCG for 24 hours until the salt is well mixed.

Oh thank you for this clarification. I had stopped adding MA to at my return since installing the SWG. I assumed the mixing of MA with the fresh chlorine gas would be a bad thing!
