Hi All- When adding this Boric Acid product (Bio Optimizer) to the pool - what mode is the multiport filter on? Filter or recirculate? thanks for any help in advance!

Doesn't matter. Either way is fine.

thank you- was thinking of applying through skimmer-- still does not matter?

I would broadcast around the pool and not add it to the skimmer.

Don’t add chems through the skimmer.
Boric acid is to be broadcast into the pool - brush the area and use a skim net to help it dissolve. Adding many pounds of granulated chems to the skimmer is a recipe for a clog.
Not to mention that boric acid is an acid- albeit a mild one but not good to run directly through equipment.
The recommended borate level for pools is 30-50ppm
Do you currently have borates in the water? (Have used any borate containing products in the past)

I use the husbands white knee high sock held by a brick, by the outlet, works great. Use this for all powder/granular applications.
