That's where I was getting confused. Like you said at 1800 rpm I was at backwash after adding de. Still at 2500 I was at backwash after only 2 psi after adding de which today took about 3 hours to reach. Water looks much much clearer though. Will have to get a manual vacuum like mentioned earlier to get the fine dirt up probably.
