Builder giving me the non wireless model of Omni control. I'm not seeing anyway to make the non wifi version to be wifi. What I am seeing is the Wi-Fi seems to be in the display control. Anyone have any ideas???

Which model OmniPL do you have that does not have wireless app?

Maybe @ChrisLPC can find out about your upgrade options.

PL controller has a Lan Wired connection and a USB port. you could hard wire it of get a Lan to wifi adaptor from a computer store
Really?? I thought it didn't? If so, I could run an Ethernet to my router...Actually this probably wouldn't work, as the non wifi version has NO web access. I also wish someone who has the non wifi version, could open the display panel, so we can see what's missing. I bet its just an unsoldered trace or something easy to fix.

Just an update....the standard system PB is installing is the older hayward aquarite system. So definately no app control. On the fence now what to do. I will not be controlling lights, or waterfalls. Maybe a heater in the future. With the omnpl system, can you make adjustments to the salt cell on the app?

Yes.

Hayward also has the Aquarite S3 System with the ability to control a SWG, heater, and a variable-speed pump via the convenient on unit display, with the ability to upgrade to Omni if desired.

The S3 Omni gives you remote app control.

So you have choices of the old Aquarite system, Aquarite S3, Aquarite S3 Omni, or OmniPL. Aquarite S3 Omni and OmniPL have remote app control.

Builder only offering the old aquarite, or the omnipl. I'm thinking because they have the el panel built in. Wondering if I wanna pay an extra $1k for the app control. Grrr.

Have you signed a contract with this builder?

Your signature says ....Still getting quotes.

No, maybe next week
Then push the builder to give you what you want. Before contract signing is when you have leverage in the negotiations.

Builders are often not knowledgeable about new products and the Aquarite S3 is fairly new.

Agree, still will be negotiating. Problem with the s3 is no sub panel for pool pump, and possible heater. I am going to push for the omnipl when we go over everything

Agreed. If your builder provides Hayward equipment they are an authorized Hayward dealer. They can get an OmniPL in a week or less from their distributor. We have distributors we can can use and between them any Hayward automation system is usually in stock. From salt ready PL’s to older Omnilogic’s. We use Omnilogic for big installs that have a pool and spa with multiple heaters, pumps and lights.
