The problem:
-our quartz plaster has marks and blotches
-the sunshelf is brownish with blotches

The results from the diver inspection:
- acid bath (takes 4 days to 2 weeks and then another 4 weeks with no swimming, pool must be 65 degrees when treating)
-acid wash (remove chlorine, drain pool, one day for wash, refill pool)

Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences with this?

Is it worth it to reduce the life of your plaster for a cosmetic problem? An acid treatment removes a layer of plaster and reduces the thickness of your plaster and possibly the remaining life.
