About to start soon

What size is your pool house? We are having a hard time deciding on a size for ours - but also want a bathroom and storage space.

25 feet wide by 12 feet long.

I attached our plans, but we changed them up a bit to make running septic line easier.

After two weeks in our pool. I think I would have rather gone with a 4 foot shallow end. I was trying to do laps and hit bottom in the shallow end so had to modify my stroke. Other than that the shallow end is good. The deep end slope isn’t too steep so I can actually walk all the way out to midpoint of pool, about 5’ deep.

I totally agree about the shallow end. Our pool is 20 x 40 and I swim laps in it all the time. Thankfully the shallow end is 4' or it would be annoying trying not to "bottom out".

<sigh> yeah... we try to tell folks that all the time.... bleeding knuckles isn't something easily pictured, lol.
The depth of the shallow end was never really discussed by us and the builder. ? too late now. One more thing to add to the list of fixes once I hit the lottery.

So, pool builder didn’t add enough salt to get the generator going. ? losing my faith in him. I told him on Friday that the salt was too low. His answer was that they only add 2/3 of what is required in order to not add too much. However, they didn’t add enough to hit the 2400 ppm to get the generator to kick on. I added bleach today when my test showed zero chlorine. I'll give him the $7 bill later. ? I want this done already.

He'll be here Monday to add more salt and to pour the wall foundation. He’s going to test the water then and balance it. Hopefully, he does that right and I don’t need to fix it. My alkalinity is still high from the 20 lbs of alkalinity up that he had me add. No cya, and low CH. I have a feeling I’m gonna need to adjust it a couple days after he does.

Still no update on when patio or fence is getting done.

If it were me I would add some salt myself (not to mention stabilizer). I am not patient enough to wait on some company that doesn't really sound like they know what they are doing as far as water chemisty.
They added some salt today. I'm gonna check it in a day or two, and adjust as needed.

Salt is good, however they didn’t add any cya, so now despite the fact that it’s making chlorine, it’s not hanging around. Ugh.

Time to harass the PB again...

Okay great. When you used the term "TEST STRIP". That confused me. The K-1766 Salt Test Kit is different from the TF-100. The K-1766 is only for testing SALT.
Thanks for clarifying. :)
Take care...
r.
I used both. The aquachek strip and the k-1766. I like to be thorough.
