I was in the process of performing a SLAM and emptied my almost empty liquid chlorine container this evening. Only realizing that my 2nd container (which I thought was full) is actually empty. I have only added 1/3 of the chlorine needed. I won’t be able to add the next batch until tomorrow evening. Any risks or anything I need to do? Or just top up (after checking FC) tomorrow evening.

I’d imagine it will slow the process down but otherwise shouldn’t be an issue. I’m assuming you’ll be filling up 2x 5 gallons tomorrow and that might cover the whole SLAM process. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to find somewhere local/convenient to pick more up quickly though.

I see you have a SWG, same here, so you might not be stocking liquid chlorine. I know I had to run to Lowe’s and the Grocery Store when I did my SLAM (which led me here) many times. On the plus side only ended up with a gallon left over, since it degrades over time.

It will definitely slow down your SLAM process. I would test in the morning if you can just to see where you are at. If you cannot get any LC into it by that evening then turn on the SWCG so you have some chlorine in your pool. Then turn it off when you add LC.
What is your CYA and what level FC are you trying to maintain?

70 cya and getting to 28 fc

I heard or read somewhere that running IsSalt cell while slamming is not good. I’m s it?

Well somewhat accurate, but if you are letting your FC drop for 24 hrs or more, then you are technically not in SLAM process. I am just trying to keep some FC going into your pool while you get more LC. That is why you should test in morning and see how much of a drop you have overnight and you can expect that plus more during the day since you are not adding LC until the evening.

You don't have to turn on your SWCG. It is your choice. You do not say how far along are you in the process or how green your pool is. Just trying to preserve what you have done thus far until you can restart properly. Doing a SLAM with 70CYA is hard enough.

Technically, a SWCG cannot generate sufficient FC to maintain a SLAM on a constant basis so why waste the hours on your SWCG when LC can add a lot of FC quickly. But if you are not adding LC and your FC goes to zero then you are not helping your situation.
