Looks like 0 chlorine at this point and shock value looks like 16. I'm reading through pool school and don't know where I'm getting so lost at. The pool calculator doesn't seem to be working. Says add 1.9oz of 6% bleach?

Pool calc is working fine for me.. it says 431 oz of 6% bleach will bring your FC up to 16.. however if you have stuff growing in your pool that level won't hold for very long.
Did you put your pool capacity of 23000 gallons in at the top? All calculations will be based on your pool volume.
Don't feel dumb... this is all new to you and can be overwhelming. Hope that pic worked. Possibly another dumb question... Test kit only measures chlorine up to 5 how do I know if it's 16?
Dang that's green! You can try diluting your pool water with distilled water and doubling your results. Tap water might have some chlorine....
That is why we recommend a really good test kit. We can measure Chlorine to specific numbers by doing drop tests (FAS/DPD) instead of guesstimating using the graduated yellow chamber. You will probably be looking for a very deep yellow or even orange color in your chamber for now. I don't recall if you have ordered a better test kit or not, but I would highly recommend that you do. It is a bit of money up front, but what it will save you from going to the pool store will be immeasurable.
