about pool bot cord

I bought a maytronics active 30i two years ago the cord got very sticky about a year ago I had it replaced (under warranty) the cord is about a year old and getting sticky again. After replacing the first cord I do not leave the bot or cord in the pool when adding chemicals ( I know someone will ask). Is this normal for the cords to get sticky? BTW love the bot

Yeah I think they need to step up the quality of the cords for the Maytronics
I just have to contact them, the previous cord they said this should not happen
