Man, this thread hijack of good 60s movies could go on and on.
Crate training is key. When Meringue (the 4 year old) was a puppy, we were consistent in that and, even though we could never train her to go in on her own, all I had to do was put my hand on her back and walk her in the direction of the crate and she went right in with no hesitation. She could spend hours in the crate happily resting or chewing on bully sticks. She would sleep overnight in it as well. We have since abandoned putting her in a crate as she is very dependable at home when we leave her (no chewing on anything or damage). The house is basically her crate.
We will train Marshmallow the same way. She’ll get there, just takes time and patience ….

I guess you’ll need a two way lead or do ya just use two leads. And does Meringue go with you to puppy school to cheer Marshmallow on or stay at home and fed treats?
My boxer is the exact same- should have named her Shadow! I call her Snoopy all the timeHe is a Velcro dog though. Follows you everywhere. It's like having a toddler again. He follows you into the bathroom, just in case you are going to do something fun in there without him.
I am allergic to dogs, but was sold a mini as hypoallergenic. Doesn't exist.
I don’t know what emoji to use. Whether to laugh or cry or love that little doggo.Ok, I'll bite.
Meet Kitty. My mini-schnauzer I acquired in 2014. I am allergic to dogs, but was sold a mini as hypoallergenic. Doesn't exist.
Thought, maybe, naming her "sit" or "fetch." Was concerned about telling Sit to "fetch," or Fetch to "sit." No Go.
Ended up with naming her Kitty. You can imagine visitors when I call "Kitty, come," and dog shows up. Yup...Just like that.
After 6 months, system allergic reaction almost killed me. Had to re-home, which I did through my vet. She is safe and sound.

Maybe a fish is the right pet for you![]()
Goldendoodles are often billed as “hypoallergenic” but that really doesn’t exist.
The breeder was 5 hours away. I spent 3 hours with the dog, rubbing it everywhere on my face and body, which didn't have an effect on me. We took her home. It’s just not possible. So anyone getting a pet should always roll their eyes at the “hypoallergenic” feature …
That is entirely another story. My daughter went to the fair and "won" a set of three goldfish. They started in a bowl and ended up with a full blown aquarium. Gold fish grow significantly. I was also lucky enough to have re-home the goldfish.Maybe a fish is the right pet for you![]()
I took my son to get a new fish. He asked, “what shall we name it?” I said, nope, no names, if you really must, choose a number…
