I am having a leak coming out of one of my drain plugs in my pump. Do you have any recommendations to stop it? I have an AG pool and not way to close off the skimmer or return, that is on my list of things to do. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
You can stop the water from coming out of the pool by plugging off the port in the bottom of the skimmer and the eyeball. I use a sponge ball. Be careful not to use too small of one. You don't want it getting shoved into the plumbing.
Remove that plug and wrap it a couple of times with t-tape and then reinsert it. I use a wrench and have to get it fairly tight to get it to stop leaking. It's 1/8" NPT threads, so you can replace it with a pipe plug if you need to.
