From what I've been reading it's a good idea to install a second return jet during construction. I've ordered a 24' Matrix and plan to put in in the ground around half way. What's the best method for cutting the new return jet hole and what's the best way to treat the exposed metal on the cut in order to prevent rust. If the extra return jet isn't needed, please let me know.
In addition, would you hard plumb with 1 1/2" or 2" PVC?
Here's my setup: 24' Matrix, Hayward X-Stream 100 ft^2 1 HP filter/pump, Hayward Aquatrol HP SWC.
