Gunite is done. Site cleanup crew is planned for tomorrow. Watering gunite twice a day has been ordered by Dr.PB, unless it rains. I guess this is the only time I prefer it rains tomorrow, after the cleanup crew of course.

Wow! I haven't seen that type of work done while in progress. How cool is that?! What an amazing waterfall that will be! Is he finished yet????? Suz.
No he and his crew will come back and do layering. He creates his own rock impressions by going into different locations and making silicone forms from real rocks.

Oops, you beat me with the send button. I see he is finished at least for today. That is amazing! I've never seen the spa done that way either. It keeps everything flowing. Ya'll have to be thrilled! Is it Modern Method doing the gunite and rocks/spa? Or is the guy doing the carving contracted separately? Fascinating! Thanks so much for sharing. Suz.
Gunite crew is separate, but it seems both crews work well together.

Thanks. I keep my excitment to a minimum, too many things to worry about before it's done. I am glad my PB is always available to come by and explain everything, as well as monitor the crews.

I have one of those sprinklers, but I don't think we need that much water and it will not cover the whole area.
The day was fun, but it's a bit stressful too because I and my DW want to make sure that what is created is what we want.

Your dirt looks so much different than mine in Sugar Land. We were solid black gumbo! I did not know there was such a difference in Katy.
Great looking setup. I wish I would have joined this forum before i started my project.

Thanks. I am glad my DW found this site while we were still figuring out what we wanted. There is still so much to learn.
I am feeling lazy so I did not read back through your thread but wanted to ask if you had your test kit yet?????? That was the first thing I bought when my husband wanted another pool! LOL
