Liner has come away from coping - too much to use boiling water?

I just pulled my winter cover off. The liner has slipped away from the copping in the deep end. About 5 inches in length and about an inch to an inch and a half down from the coping itself.

Two questions..

1. Is this too much slippage to try and use the boiling water trick to expand it and then pull it into place. I am not even sure I can.

2. What other tricks are there?

The pool company can come out on June 1 and I imagine they can pump out the water and pull it. I am worried about stretching the liner too much and then having it tear.

The liner is 3 years old this August.

That doesn't look too bad. You can probably put it back in place without boiling water, just a warm sunny day ought to do it.

Getting it back into place does take some finger strength. If it looks like it might come back out, wedge it into the track with pennies.
