POOL is full of water and circulating. Will thw boost cycle on SWG get the pool up to proper FC reading on ita own or do i need to use liquid chlorine to get it to the proper FC first and juat use the SWG to maintain it?

You need to use liquid chlorine to get it there first. The SWG works slowly, but steadily, and will take too long to reach your desired FC level before algae has a chance to take hold.
Have you added stabilizer yet? Gotta have that to "hold" your FC in the water against the sun burning it all away.....

Back to back. Doesn't matter which is first. The chlorine disperses and mixes and the CYA granules sit in a sock in front of the return and get pummeled by the flow and slowly disperses. Use 3 FC as target since you won't have any measurable CYA for a while. As more dissolves, consider it there and raise target FC.
Ok liquid chlorine has been added and CYA is in sock. Pump running. Water turned greenish after 30 min? We are on well water fyi.
If it's just a pale green, it will probably disappear in a day or two. If not, then read up on Iron.
