I recently rebedded my softener on a whole house filter system. It is used to remove Fe from the well water. I can correct the pool water ok but is the well over 8.2 PH causing any damage to my domestic plumbing? Should anything be done to balance the drinking water? I don't see any scale on the fixtures.

If the well comes into your domestic water as 8.2, I can't figure out how you intend to manipulate it down to the 7's without some more apparatus.
