I have 2 boxes full of liquid chlorine left over from last season (has been stored in the garage). Anyone have an idea how effective it is at this point?
The higher the strength the faster it degrades. It my have lost some of its potency.
You can test the strength by adding the amount pool math tells you and see if that brought your FC level up to your desired target or not. Test it an hour after you add. ?
I don't know what it will be, but I can guarantee it wont be 12.5%. Even bought at that strength in the commercial market, fresh drums or bulk deliveries of rarely yield that percentage. At least in my experience. My guess is 8% or less.
