Anyone ever find a proper repair kit for their constantly leaking top ring? I am looking for some material and the glue to totally recover the top ring and give it a second layer. Anyone find something that would work?
There are tons of Vinyl Pool Repair kits on the market. Make sure they have the underwater adhesive so you can patch your liner if need be too.
You cut the patch to your liking, spread the adhesive on, press the patch on and wait for it to set up. Just be careful not to over inflate the ring on hot summer days. The heat will make the ring expand and the glue soften and they will pull loose. We did that and woke up to a third of our water gone and still pouring out one morning.
Actually I ended up finding out that the top ring was done, the sun had damaged the vinyl beyond repair, so ended up buying a new pool at Wally World instead. Went for the 16' Ultra with a sand pump.
Good luck with the ultra. So far we love ours and we really will if the water will ever warm up a bit. Just make sure the ground is level before you set it up!
