Just getting started

Okay, tested at 5:00 yesterday evening - FC at 19, CC - 0, CYA - 55
added 3 jugs per PoolMath to bring it up to shock at 22
Tested at 9:00 - FC - 23, CC - .5
Tested at 6:15 - FC - 23, CC - .5

Water is clear. I will let the FC go down to 9 and keep it there. Sound good??

With 55 CYA, keep FC between 4 and 9, and never below 4. Enjoy your pool!

btw, don't forget to keep pH & TA lower/tighter for CH. See Richard's post #19. He has a link in last paragraph :wink:

FC - 15
CC - 0
PH - 7.6
TA - 100
CYA - 55
CH - 500

I was waiting for the FC to come into range(9) before adjusting the PH. Correct? Based on Richards post, with the CH at that level I will need to keep the PH and TA at the lower end.

Exactly, you'll get a good reading once FC drops below 10. Then you can adjust pH and TA if needed.

Nice Job. It will be easier from here on out. The hard part is over.

Just an update. The water is beautiful. Testing every morning and making adjustments as necessary.

This morning:
FC - 7.0
CC -0
PH - 7.4
TA - 50
CYA - 55
CH - 450

This is the first time the TA is below 60. Adding bleach for the FC and MA for the PH is the only thing I have done. Any concern on the numbers? Thank you.
