Hello to all,

Getting the bids in and wanted to run something by you.

A PB showed me some "waterway sweeps" they use for the Equip-pad and other. These 90 degree sweeps are much more rounded and allow for much better water-flow than a true 90 degree elbow. They stated that their flow rate on the 3" sweeps are miuch better than the 90 elbows, thus better pressure, less stress on equipment, etc.

Just wanted to get your experience on this topic.

Regards,

The sweep 90s are better, but only by a tiny amount. If you replace all of the 90s in the entire system with sweep 90s you can save 1 or 2 percent on electricity. That is enough to justify them on new construction, but not really all that much of a difference.
