New Pebbletec startup procedure

Gents,
A friend is in the process of having a pebbletec pool installed and he hasnt talked startup with his builder. Whats the best route here? Traditional? Bicarb?

Pool is in Houston...

A bicarb startup is best for the plaster, but should only be done if the builder/plaster people are on board. Because of warranty issues, you can make suggestions, but should go along with what the builder is doing. The best plan is to have a conversation about this with the builder in advance and make sure you know what they are taking care of and what is your responsibility.
