Depth of sports pool & slide

Depth question. We were going to go 3 to 5 to 3.5 on other side.

Thoughts/suggestions? To shallow? Bad slope?

Not doing slide now, but want to in future. Do I have them plumb for it now? Does it require plumbing/water?

Yes, it requires plumbing. How wide is the pool? I think 5' is probably deep enough (barely, maybe), but if it's not wide enough it won't be safe.

What type of pool surface will there be?

It's 18x36 and we want it for volleyball basketball and lounging

Plaster? Vinyl? 5' is pretty deep at the net? Mines 3.5 at the net and I can barely spike, I'm 6'1". In our deep end at 4' it's really tough to move fast in the water....
