FINALLY: Pool Renno Ongoing -- Questions for All

Hi all --

I wanted to post some photos. I've been at this project for years -- and finally we are close! I did have a question about solar covers. Which brands are good? We ended up going with plaster in the blue color and did belgard pavers with inset LED lighting that will hook up to the front yard. We also have a ski lift chair that we are turning into a swing and it will sit in the paver circle you see near the pool. The end is the front and the wrought iron inserts that will sit on top of the fence.

Thanks for all of the help!

They are all about the same quality. Get the cheapest 8mil you can find. No benefit to a thicker liner and they are harder to handle.

Expect 1-3 years on the cover, depending on how you maintain it and your environment. I'm on year 4 with mine, but it is either on the pool or in the shade with a cover if it is out of the pool, and I'm in Ohio. I expect to replace next year.

Its a big backyard refresh project. We ended up deciding on a stand alone hot tub, and that will kick off in a few months. But with the copper piping replaced, new equipment, updated skimmers etc-- this should last a while. The diving board will be placed in a couple of weeks and then there will be a lot of hand trenching, redoing the irrigation system etc.
