We just had our 30,000 pool replanted with Diamond Brite Blue Quartz 6 weeks ago. We brushed the pool like we were told to do 2 times a day fir the first week, then we were out of town for a week. Once we returned home things seemed fine. Pool looked great, but we found out the renovation crew plastered over the main drain, why I have no clue. So we drained the pool to correct main drain issue using another company because we had little faith in our original crew. Main drain was opened and had a pressure test on all the pipes in the pool, everything was great. The new issue we came across was that once the pool was drained you can see all the calcium hydroxide on the pool. When the pool was submerged you could see some area but not enough to be concerned with. My question is should I be concerned with calcium hydroxide? Will it eventually get better with keeping my ph on the low end of the scale and continuing to brush the plaster or do we need to do a no drain acid wash?
