5ml vs 10ml FC tests

Is there an inherent inconsistency in the results between the two test sample sizes? I’m finding significantly different results comparing the two which makes me question the validity of going with 5ml during a SLAM.

As an example, I tested this morning with 10ml and got 21 FC. At 5ml, it was 14 FC. If this is typical, I’m going to go with 10ml going forward.

I have always thought testing with 5 ml samples is penny-wise and pound foolish. Unless you are desperately low on reagent (order more right NOW), The ONLY reason to do it is to save money and the money you save is complete chump change. It has NEVER made any sense to me.

Theoretically you would need to be twice as accurate with your drop sizes and 5 ml measurement to obtain the same accuracy with a test half the size. Though 50% difference points to something more.
