Trying to help a friend with an algae problem. They have no Cl based on their test strips. When I tried my Taylor test, when I added to the powder that's supposed to turn the h2o pink, nothing happened....what's up with that?
Hmmm, i always seem to get pink when I start out even if I didn't think I had any Cl in the h20. Doesn't take but a drop to turn it clear sometimes, but always had a shade of pink to start. Assumed the powder just turned it pink to start with... I guess I've always had 'some' Cl in the water then. Sorry for the stupid question!
Not stupid at all.....I made the same assumption the first time I did the test. All of us start by absolutely knowing nothing about pools and I continue to learn something new almost daily.
