Calcium?

Is the white discoloration on tile grout calcium build up? I've gotten my CH down to 320 (from 450). Our tap water isn't much better (lots of white build-up around faucets indoors). What's the best (safest) way to clean it? I tried scrubbing, but doesn't do much.

Probably ... a high pH can make it show up more rapidly.

A mixture of muriatic acid and water sprayed on and then scrubbed can help get rid of it.
