My local Great Escape, in Batavia, IL. Has there liquid chlorine 12.5% for $2.50 a gallon that is there everyday price.
If you look at this thread you will find that 12.5% chlorinating liquid is sometimes found at below $2.50 per gallon, though usually sold in carboy quantities. With more usual $3-4 per gallon retail pricing and usual margins, $2.50 per gallon is certainly not below cost though it is a good price at presumably lower margins for the seller. Remember that a $2.50 "cost" for a $3.50 "retail" is a 29% margin and margins on chlorinating liquid are usually higher than that.Alaska Mike said:They are selling it for less than it costs them. Better ask yourself why they would do that......
Ah, I understand. Maybe using a bucket with freshwater and more carefully measured bleach would be easier. Still time consuming.JasonLion said:PJD, just but it is fairly complex. The simplest way is to measure FC before and after adding to the pool, though that lacks precision.
