when you go through the procedure to lower your alkalinity,after adding acid and waiting for ph to lower,is it necessary to stop aeration each time,or is it ok to let the aeration continue during the entire process. Thanks for the help.

Keep aerating...the PH should drop within 30mins, if not perhaps the acid is not being mixed in well enough or you may not be adding enough acid to lower PH to 7?
