3" tabs typically lower pH and add stabalizer to pool...correct?

What effect does ganular (99% Sodium Dichloro-S-Triazinetrione) have on the water...

I plan to run the liquid chlorine in general, but at times will float 3" tabs or use some granular, but wanted to make sure i was aware of the effects of granular chlorine.

Thanks,

Dichlor adds about the same amount of CYA as it does FC. If you use it to dose 10 ppm of FC then you get 9 ppm CYA with it. It is also acidic, but not as much as trichlor tablets.

In PoolMath at the bottom of the page there is a section called Effects of Adding Chemicals that you can use if you want to get a more specific answer of what will happen when you add trichlor or dichlor (or many other chemicals) to your pool.
