I just vacuumed my pool and I have black spots ( looks like) in the corners of my deep end. I have tried brushing them and they do not seem to move. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. I have a inground vinyl pool.
I currently have a problem with black spots (looks like black algae) and I can tell you that rubbing pucks over it will only makes it fade but it will return again. I tried everything including scrubbing with stainless steel brush, powder in a sock method, super chlorination, nothing works. Black algae is a nightmare.
I'm currently researching acid wash, perhaps this is the only way.
I don't believe so. I believe all forms of algae that occur in pools can be controlled and eliminated with proper chlorination. Some are simply more difficult than others.
