2 pumps and 2 skimmers

I have an 18 x 38 above ground with a 7 ft deep end. It was installed with a Doughboy AquaView 0-1709-020 2 sq ft sand filter and the pump is a Doughboy Powerline XP 1.5 HP. Ever since I installed the pool, I have always wondered if I should have another skimmer and filter/pump installed. The reason I wonder this is because I have very little wind protection and it seems like debris settles on one end or the other length wise. Maybe it is circulating properly but sometimes I wonder.

Generally we hope skimmers are placed to take advantage of natural wind patterns around the yard. I take it yours was not?

Before you went to all that trouble to add another (not to mention another pump!) .... How about trying one of those solar skimmers? Google Ariel or Betta solar skimmers. There are also cheaper small baskets that you can clip on to the side of the pool to augment your current skimmmer.
