So, I'm trying to re-install the new intelliflo pump, so it rests on the concrete. I'm thinking much of the past air leaks is due to the pump weight being held by the input union, instead of the pump stand.
In the process, I cut one of the PVC pipes. But the 2" couplings and 90 degree elbows I purchased at Home Depot won't fit over this one pipe, as it's bigger, about 2 1/16 or 2 1/8". Are you kidding me? This is the connection from the pump outlet to a check valve to the inlet of the Pentair Clean and Clear Plus filter. If I can salvage the union at the Clean & Clear Plus filter I guess I could rebuild, at least temporary without the check valve. Or maybe even get a check valve from Leslies.
But the project came to a screeching halt after encountering the oversize (2" ?) pipe.
Thoughts please,
Jeff
