Liquid Chlorine
Hi all, and thanks in advance for the help. We had a local pool company come by and open our pool for us with instructions to not do any chemicals. Unfortunately that did not go as planned and as they added tons of those white blocks of chlorine into the skimmer after I had already added in shock levels of liquid chlorine to 12. I was surprised to see the numbers going higher and when I checked the skimmer the next day I saw the blocks and quickly removed them. I have no idea how many actually dissolved. But I pulled out around 8 to 12 of them.

My current numbers are as follows:

Cya 40
Fc 23
Cc 11
Ph 7.2
Ta 100

The pool water is cloudy a bit on the deep end with a slight greenish tinge.

I assume my best options are:

1. drain some water and add in fresh water or

2. just wait?

I assume it's not safe to use the pool at such high levels at the moment...

Thanks,

John

The excess chlorine will burn off in the sun fairly soon.

We do not recommend getting in a pool with the FC above SLAM level.

Update as of this am FC numbers were about the same at 23 while
Cc dropped to 3, cya measured at 32 so I guess I should bump up and just say 40.

Ph 7.3
Ta 100
Ch 120

Water still in the deep end has a slight green tint.

Is it normal for the fc to stay so high while cc has dropped so much?

Any other suggestions at this point?

Thanks,

J
