I just bought an Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System Model CS8110 - it says I should test the copper with the Copper Ion test strips. I read in a post below no copper in your pool. Why is this and should I find out how to disconnect also?
If you search this forum for copper you can see all the issues people have had with it. It causes staining of pool surfaces and hair. Since you still have to have chlorine (the SWCG makes that from the salt in your pool) anyway why put up with the unwanted side effects of having copper in your pool.
It's very easy to disconnect the copper electrodes. There's a plug on top of the electrodes that you can just unplug.
